Racing Flags Explained

Every flag means something specific. Miss one and you could be penalised — or worse.

The Flags

What Each Flag Means

🟡 Yellow — Danger ahead, slow down, no overtaking. Single yellow = hazard at the side. Double yellow = extreme danger. 🔴 Red — Session stopped immediately. All cars slow down and return to pits. 🏁 Chequered — Race over. 🔵 Blue — A faster car is behind you — let them pass within 3 flags or receive a penalty. ⚪ White — Slow vehicle ahead. ⬛ Black — Disqualified, return to pits immediately. 🏴 Black & White — Warning for unsportsmanlike behaviour. ⬛🟠 Black & Orange (Meatball) — Your car has mechanical damage, pit immediately. 🟢 Green — Track is clear, racing resumes.
